Important Message for Parents if your Child is Struggling
The Adventures in Self-Esteem Program and all Adventures in Wisdom Curricula are mindset curricula designed to help children be more empowered in their lives.
It is not a program for supporting a child who is experiencing serious mental health issues or is in a mental health crisis.
If a child is in crisis, self-harming (threatening to self-harm), or facing an issue that is impacting their ability to function in life, then contacting a mental health provider, such as a counselor or therapist would be very important.
In the United States, suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people between 10 to 24. If someone you know (of any age) is struggling, you can get free support by calling 988 or going to https://988lifeline.org/. If you don’t live in the United States, we recommend doing an internet search for “how to get mental health support for my child in [your-location- here]”. Contact your child’s pediatrician as well.
